Chemicals called “endocrine disruptors'', or EDCs, can interfere with your body’s delicate balance, leading to your inability to get pregnant. Here are 3 things to cut out immediately if you want to reduce your exposure to EDCs:
👉 These create a chemical reaction that converts UV rays into heat which sinks into your skin. Chemical sunscreens have been shown to show up in urine and breast milk samples. You might even accidentally inhale or ingest them when applying! Time to switch to that mineral sunscreen instead.
👉 Extremely resistant to breaking down, PFA’s (aka “forever chemicals”) are found in non-stick home products like pans, carpets, packaging, cosmetics and clothes. These chemicals accumulate in our bodies over time so steer clear of these any way you can!
👉 These are chemicals added to products with the intention of killing or inhibiting the growth of microbes. They are found all over your house in apparel, kitchenware, supplies and personal products. Most contain phthalates which get absorbed through the skin and have major negative impacts on fertility.
There are so many EDCs out there! But don’t worry, you don’t need to “get it perfect” to get pregnant!
